Choosing a foursome to play golf with is a very hard thing to do. It's also extremely smart to be picky about who you play with. You have to think about it this way...Let's say you choose a "regular foursome" to play with once per week for east coast sake 32 weeks out of the year for an average of around 5 hours per round. That's 160 hours of your time or to think about it more clearly, around 7 full days!
I like to spend those 7 days playing with people that I truly enjoy being around as well as golfing with. I don't have the means or time to go out on the golf course that much and when I do I want to make sure it's for all the right reasons. Whether those reasons be to relax and enjoy myself or to make some really solid business connections, I want to make sure my time is spent well. Often times I like to go out by myself and get in a quick 18 holes in the late afternoon or early morning within 2 hours! Or sometimes I like the prospect of going out by myself and meeting someone completely new in my life! I love meeting new people so I have no problem with this at all...some people would rather play with the same people always. One advantage of consistently playing with the same people is that if they're good enough friends they will help you with your game by showing you what you need to improve on and how you can go about doing it...Going out by yourself, going by yourself and going out with a stranger and going out with your friends are all different experiences that I suggest every golfer partake in sometime in the near future!
